In previous movie it was shown that a theme park called Jurassic world has been set up and new hybrid dinosaurs were brought up that created a hell of caos all around forcing humans to abandoned that place.
This movie shows that after destruction of that theme park the dinosaurs were left for themselves and now the island is under the threat of extreme volcanic eruption how owen and clairs risk their lives to rescue what left of dinosaurs from being getting extinct.
